New Music By Big & Rich and Chris Young Going Into Rotation This Week!

Big & Rich's new single "Lovin' Lately" (featuring Tim McGraw) is going into rotation this week.  It's the third single from their 2014 album Gravity and I think this one is good enough to propel them up the charts again.

Their last single to reach the rarified air on the top of the charts was their 2007 single "Lost In This Moment."  This new single was actually supposed to be released over a year ago, but conflicts with their old record label, Warner Music Nashville, led to the single getting put on the back burner while the lawyers figured things out.

Big & Rich decided to form their own record label and promote their songs themselves.  John Rich and Big Kenny co-wrote this song with Tim McGraw, who lately has been making the best music of his whole career.  Tim also helps out in the background vocals on the second verse, and he even plays the part of the bartender in the music video for this song.

Chris Young has been riding the wave of success that his fifth studio album I'm Comin' Over has achieved since getting released back in November.  The album has been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of over half-a-million copies.  The first single, and title track, topped the country music charts for a couple of weeks.

Chris also just announced the first dates of his 2016 "I'm Comin' Over" World Tour.

Chris's opening act is Cassadee Pope, an up-and-coming country singer-songwriter who joins Chris on his new single "Think Of You."  Chris tells CMT that he knew he wanted to work with Cassadee the first time he heard her sing live.

Personally, I'm glad that duets are making a comeback in country music.  They were a staple of country radio from the mid-60s to the mid-90s, but then seemed to just vanish up until about three years ago.

A music video for "Think Of You" is currently being filmed, so until it's ready, check out the lyric video below!
