New Music By Jason Aldean and Tony Jackson This Week on 95 Country

Seems like just about everyone in country music is releasing a new album this summer, and Jason Aldean is no exception.  It's been a little over two years since his last album, Old Boots New Dirt, which spawned four massive hit singles; "Burnin' It Down" (2x Platinum), "Just Getting Started" (certified Gold), "Tonight Looks Good On You," and "Gonna Know We're Here."

Jason performed "Lights Come On" on this year's ACM Awards (where he also won Entertainer Of The Year honors), and released the song a week later.   On the heels of that performance, "Lights Come On" sold 70,000 copies its first week and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Digital Songs chart.  This is the first single from Jason's next album, title and release date still to be determined.

There are a number of country artists and groups that are making a run on the charts after earning a following in their hometowns.  Granger Smith and Aaron Watson were both household names in the Texas music scene well before anyone in Nashville had heard of them.  Smith & Wesley built up a following in their hometown of Chattanooga before venturing out into the national scene.  Add Tony Jackson to that list.

Tony, and his band Jackson Ward, have spent the last few years becoming Richmond, Virginia's favorite homegrown band.  Jackson Ward recently performed on the popular television show “Virginia This Morning” and continues to sell out local venues throughout the area. With a loyal fan base that is growing by the day, Jackson Ward truly appreciates every listener and concert goer. That has made for a unique experience as Jackson Ward is truly in touch with its fan base.  Critics have also stood up and taken notice. Jackson Ward continues to receive rave reviews as their live performances are more than just a concert.

Not only is Tony a talented performer and gifted songwriter, he is also a non-active duty member of the United States Marine Corps (there is no such thing as a "former" Marine).  If Tony and his band come to your town, make sure you catch his performance!
