New Music by Martina McBride, Sam Hunt, and Jason Pritchett This Week On 95 Country

Martina McBride has been telling us for months that she is working on a new album, and the first single from it was just released on Friday, February 26th.  "Reckless" is about being thankful for people who stand by you, and it sounds like a classic Martina McBride song.  However, Martina almost didn't get the chance to record it.

Lady Antebellum had already placed a "hold" on it for their next album.  After reaching out to Charles Kelley of Lady A and explaining how passionate she is about the song written by Sarah Buxton, Heather Morgan and Zach Crowell, the group released the hold which then let Martina record it.

We don't have a title, or a release date for Martina McBride's new album, but Nash Icon records enlisted two of Nashville's best producers for it; Dann Huff and Nathan Chapman.  A music video is currently in production, but you can hear the song on Martina's Vevo channel

Our second new song this week, is "Already A Dead Man the eagerly-anticipated follow up single to indie artist Jason Pritchett's breakout hit "Good Show."  Jason teams up with country music legend Billy Dean for this song, which tells the classic Western tale of two outlaws that live and die by the gun.

Pritchett and Billy Dean met in Branson, Missouri where the established country star headlines the Billy Dean Live show at the Starlite Theater.  If Jason looks familiar, you might recognize him as a recent finalist on the tv show "America's Got Talent."  You can find this song on Jason's Independence Cowboy EP.

A music video is in the works, but here are Jason and Billy performing this song in Branson.

A few weeks ago, Sam Hunt hinted that "Make You Miss Me" would be the next single from his platinum selling album Montevallo.  That hint was made official and "Make You Miss Me" landed in my inbox on Monday (2/29) afternoon.

Written by Sam, Josh Osborne and Matthew Ramsey (lead singer of Old Dominion), this one will probably climb the charts and hit number one very quickly.  Sam and his label suffered a lot of backlash with his previous single for going overboard with the R&B sound (it topped the Music Row Country Breakout Chart despite never getting added by 1/5 the reporting stations) but "Make You Miss Me" should be much more palatable for country traditionalists.

An official music video is currently in production, but until then you can enjoy the song on Sam's Youtube channel.
