from Staff Reports - NEWS
June 21, 2017 -

Tuesday (6/20) at approximately 2:40 am, Sgt. Roddy Powell was patrolling the area of Redd Loop Rd. near the Laundromat when he observed a subject run into the building. Sgt. Powell made contact with two subjects identified as 19 year old Devin Morrison and a 16 year old juvenile, who were bleeding from lacerations on their forearms. An ambulance was called as well as the juvenile’s grandmother and he was transported to Merit Health for treatment.

At approximately 8:00 am, the owner of Natchez Cycle Shop, 647 Hwy 61 North, called to say the door to his shop was open and the front window was busted. Nothing appeared to be missing. This location is very near Redd Loop Rd. Upon review of video surveillance from nearby businesses, investigators were able to link Morrison and the juvenile to the burglary.

Sheriff Patten believes community oriented patrol is a key factor in crime prevention. | © 2014 | All Rights Reserved
