Watermelons for Paws

FERRIDAY, La. — Tennie Smith, son of Dr. Veronica and Jeremy Smith, came up with the idea of selling watermelons to help raise money for Concordia PAWS animal shelter. He has helped raise more $500 for the shelter.

Another batch of melons will be for sale across the street from the PAWS shelter on First Street on Saturday, June 30 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. All proceeds go to PAWS.
