NASD loses vote on school bond

NATCHEZ, Miss. - Adams County residents voted against permitting Natchez-Adams School District from obtaining a bond up to $35 million to build a new high school and renovate other schools funded by a property tax increase.

 

Results on the school bond issue from the Adams County Circuit Clerk's office:

    • For: 3004 or 48.88%
    • Against: 3142 or 51.12%

 

A 60 percent majority was required for the school-bond issue to pass.
