Adams County burglary suspect identified on video and arrested, again

September 18, 2017 -

Adams County Sheriff's Office was notified by a business owner, on September 15, 2017 at approximately 2:15 am,  that his alarm system showed a burglary in progress at J & H Car Sales at 615 Hwy 61 North. Upon deputies’ arrival, the suspect had already fled the scene. Deputies recovered surveillance footage of the burglary and identified the suspect on the video as 49 year old Jean O’Quinn. Deputies were familiar with Jean from previous arrests. Nothing was reported missing at the time of the report.

At approximately 8:00 am, deputies arrested Jean O’Quinn in the Broadmoor area. Upon her arrest, she had two identification cards and debit cards belonging to other individuals along with an undisclosed amount of cash. Investigators contacted the owners of the cards and both said their cards were inside their vehicles which they discovered at that time had been burglarized also. All three burglaries were in the same proximity near J & H Car Sales. Jean was charged with 1 count of Burglary of a Business and 2 counts of Burglary of an Automobile.

Jean was sentenced on September 6, 2017 to 15 years for Burglary of a Dwelling, 10 years for Grand Larceny, and 5 years for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle to run concurrent. She was released on Post Release Supervision on September 7, 2017. | © 2014 | All Rights Reserved
