Concordia Parish School Board members vote to form a committee considering the feasibility of converting the Ferriday and Vidalia high school football fields to turf. The proposal would also involve surrounding both facilities with a running track. A project supervisor with Volkert, Inc. estimates it would cost $2 million per field, based on similar projects he’s worked in Louisiana. Warren Enterkin was the lone ‘no’ vote on forming the committee, arguing the football fields shouldn’t be given so much priority.
