Viking head coach Robert Sanders missed the game because of a death in the family.
“Coach (Damus) Smith said we played pretty well and the guys fought to the end,” Sanders said.
Vidalia finished the regular season at 10-16.
“Things did not go the way we hoped for the regular season, but I’m hoping our guys are hungry enough to do something now,” Sanders said.

The Storm are 9-22 on the season. East Iberville is 16-16.

“Hicks has a very good team. very quick,” Richard said. “But I think we are a much better team now than we were back then. Having played there already will definitely help us.”
Monterey girls coach Cary Shively will coach the boys.
“We’ve coached together a long time, so it’s just a matter of the guys going out there and playing hard,” Richard said. “We are the underdog, so we’re going in with the attitude of nothing to lose. We played in one of the toughest districts in Class B, so our guys know what it’s like to face good competition.”

The Tigers will host Oberlin Friday.
Sicily Island head coach Curtis Shavers said the game will be Friday at Sicily Island. Tip-off will be either at 6:30 p.m. or 7 p.m.
“We have to work with our opponent,” Shavers said. “Our guys are looking forward to the playoffs. We just have to be in the right mind set and put it together on the court.”
