(LRN) — LSU will find out its bowl game destination on Sunday, but it's difficult to figure where the Tigers will go. That's because eight teams in the SEC have either seven or eight wins. "It's a really jumbled mess," said Jerry Palm who does bowl projections for cbssports.com. "There's a lot of openings that are all about the same as far as the league is concerned, they're all about the same as far as the quality of your opponent is concerned," said Palm. Palm says Alabama is headed to the college football playoff and the Sugar Bowl will take the highest ranked team in the C-F-P, which he says will either be Auburn or Florida. He says his best guest for LSU is either the Outback Bowl in Tampa or the Taxslayer Bowl in Jacksonville. "I have them in the Outback Bowl, I figure they are in either one of the Florida games, I suppose they can end up in the Music City," Palm said. LSU was in the Texas Bowl last year and easily defeated Texas Tech 56-27. Palm says the SEC will help determine the bowl game for LSU, but they'll be wanted by several bowls, because many fans are excited about the hiring of Ed Orgeron. "And a coach who led them to a successful finish to the season, it was a good finish for the year for LSU, which is part of what makes them attractive to begin with," Palm said. This Saturday, Louisiana Tech plays in the Conference USA Championship game against Western Kentucky. Palm says if the Bulldogs win they'll play in the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl, a loss will send them to the New Orleans Bowl. "New Orleans is a possibility, especially if (UL) Lafayette is not there, because if (the Cajuns) win this week and beat Monroe, they'll become bowl eligible and they'll go to New Orleans."

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Aaron Rodgers completed 30 of 39 passes for 313 yards and tossed a pair of TD passes in leading the Green Bay Packers past Philadelphia 27-13 last night. The victory snapped the Packers four-game losing streak and kept Green Bay's playoff hopes alive. The Packers are two games back of Detroit in the NFC North.

MEDELLIN, Colombia (AP) — A chartered plane with a Brazilian first division soccer team crashed near Medellin while on its way to the finals of a regional tournament, killing 76 people, Colombian officials said Tuesday. Five people survived.
