
Over the last several months, changes have been underway at Magnolia Bluffs Casino & Hotel transforming former restaurant space into Playmakers, a dynamic, state-of-the-art venue that Is comprised of a live brick and mortar sportsbook fused with a Sports Bar and Grill.
The Sportsbook opened October 25, 2018 and almost three years ago to the day, the renovations are extraordinary with an open space and ample lounge style seating. The book also features several state-of-the-art betting kiosks as well as a live ticket writing counter. From an audio-visual standpoint, there are over 40 screens including one 120” screen and a 220” screen that dominates one entire wall of the venue and can transition into 9 different games/events.
The Sports Bar and Grill sits on prime river real estate that features one-of a kind view from the bottom of the bluffs across the mighty Mississippi River towards the Natchez-Vidalia Bridge. The new menu styled by renowned chef, Regina Charboneau, features a gastropub menu with a Southern flair.
“There has been a need for a quality Sportsbar in Natchez and since we have a State approved Sportsbook, it was a natural marriage of two entertainment options,” said Kevin Preston. There is no venue to watch sports for 90 minutes from Natchez, now we have filled that need.
Magnolia Bluffs Casino & Hotel is a full-service gaming facility with approx. 500 of the newest slot machines, 12 table games including live craps and roulette, poker room, sportsbook and multiple dining venues. The nearby hotel boasts 141 rooms, banquet facility and a full suite of amenities including a bar, breakfast, salt water pool featuring a seating area with a fire pit and more. Located on the Mississippi River in historic downtown Natchez, Magnolia Bluffs Casino sits on the site of the former Learned’s Mill, a saw mill that opened in 1828 and operated until 1962. The casino opened its doors on Dec 19, 2012. The facility is owned and operated by Premier Gaming Group, Union, KY.
