With the announced retirement of President/CEO Debbie Hudson last week, the Natchez Adams County Chamber of Commerce has listed a job posting seeking to fulfill the soon-to-be vacant Chief Executive Officer position.
Hudson’s last day will be May 15th, after 15 years of faithful service to the Chamber and our community. During Hudson’s tenure the Chamber has a long list of accomplishments, promoting businesses, enhancing economic development, and strengthening community partnerships.
The oldest town on the Mississippi River with over 300 years of rich history. The town is a hub for tourism noted for its port as well as its various industries. There is something here for everyone with southern hospitality at its heart.
The Mission of the Natchez- Adams County Chamber of Commerce – To promote business, enhance economic and community development and serve as the catalyst for improving the overall quality of life in our community.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Chamber Functions:
• Manage daily operations of the office staff and chamber business.
• Implement and adhere to the Chamber budget and financial duties.
• Promote Chamber activities, seminars, programs and services to Chamber.
• Coordinate Education Partnership Programs with local school, Pre-k through college.
• Coordinate Chamber Committees, i.e. attendance, minutes, recruitment.
• Serve as liaison with the following committees: Tourism Council, Small Business, Education Committee, Young Professionals, Natchez, Inc.
• Serve as liaison between Tourism Board of Directors and Trustees.
• Oversee Leadership Natchez and Youth Leadership Natchez.
• Promote tourism in the Miss-Lou area.
• Maintain positive relationships with the City and County Officials by providing reports to the officials.
Membership:
• Sell, track and retain Chamber Memberships.
• Manage membership marketing, social media, ChamberMaster, & Quickbooks.
• Maintain positive relationships with the City and County Officials.
• Attend Chamber/Economic Development Professionals meetings, and other meetings as assigned or needed.
• Serve as liaison between existing industries and the Chamber.
• Coordinate staff and volunteer in the development and implantation of projects and events.
