Baton Rouge – Niagara Bottling announced its plans to invest $160 million in a state-of-the-art production facility near Hammond. The company headquartered in Diamond Bar California operates more than 40 production facilities with over 7,000 employees worldwide. Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller says this is a great company to work for.
“Niagara is a privately held company I mean it’s a family, to start 70 full-time jobs, career jobs, in a clean really good operation,” said Miller.
The new facility will have highly automated technology used to increase production efficiency, allowing the company to meet high demands. Miller says the new development will be advanced.
“Unbelievable facility the systems and filtering of the water it’s all done in one building all the way down to robot forklifts moving the pallets of water its an incredible operation and were really excited,” said Miller.
The company expects to begin construction on the 500,000-square-foot facility 6 months into the year. Miller says work on the facility has begun.
“They’ve begun some of the construction, they’re building their own well to drill the water and that’s already begun. I believe their expectation is to be producing in the first quarter of 2024, if I’m not mistaken,” said Miller
