Springfield, LA—Lindsey Cardinale, the Hammond, Louisiana, native who was a 2005 American Idol finalist, will headline the entertainment at the 2023 Murder Mystery Trail Ride and Healing Revival, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on February 25, 2023. Cardinale and her band will perform gospel and country and western favorites, including ‘O Happy Day,’ a gospel classic sung to the famed racehorse Secretariat by his groomer before a big race. The event will also feature celebrity riders, including:
- David Carter, of the Double C Ranch, champion of the 2010 Louisiana Colt Starting Challenge, and ‘08 Extreme Mustang Makeover Finalist
- Katrina (Trinkette) Parker, three-time world champion barrel racer
- Fenton LeBon, US and Argentinian polo player and trainer
Presented by Springfield Wellness Center (www.springfieldwellnesscenter.com), the first intravenous NAD clinic in the United States, the trail ride will send teams of riders through the woods searching for clues to “solve the murder.” Riders and non-riders will then gather on the grounds of the historic Cliffs Plantation for food, music, and a celebration of wellness technologies ranging from equine therapy to Jovē Water to photobiomodulation therapy to NAD topicals for pain relief.
The celebration will raise critical funds for NAD Research, Inc. (www.nadresearch.org), the nonprofit dedicated to advancing clinical understanding of NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), an essential molecule found in every cell in the human body. Treatments involving NAD are giving hope to patients struggling with addiction, alcoholism, depression, post-traumatic stress, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and even CTE (the concussion disease) and TBI (traumatic brain injury).
The afternoon will also include a special ceremony honoring fallen members of the Greatest Generation.
Tickets are $80/riders and $50/non-riders and include lunch, a raffle ticket, and free shuttle service from the Natchez Visitors’ Center parking lot to The Cliffs.
