NATCHEZ, Miss. – December 5, 2023 – Visit Natchez is pleased to announce the appointment of Lynsey Gilbert as interim director following the departure of Devin Heath. Prior to this role, Gilbert served as director of sales at Visit Natchez.
In this role, Gilbert will be responsible for managing the Visit Natchez staff, developing partnerships to support the community and working with stakeholders on local initiatives. Gilbert previously served as interim director from 2020-2021.

Originally from Vicksburg, Gilbert has lived in Natchez for 12 years and been part of the Visit Natchez team for 10 years. Gilbert’s experience as director of sales included attending meetings and conventions where she was responsible for selling Natchez to international and domestic markets for group and individual travel, along with coordinating the planning and execution of group meetings and events at various venues throughout the city. She has also previously been part of the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce and Natchez Young Professionals and served as secretary of the Community Alliance’s Christmas in Natchez.
