NATCHEZ, Miss. – February 27, 2024 – Natchez, Mississippi, a quaint riverside town known for its southern charm, significant architecture and fascinating history, invites all to experience the history of Natchez this spring with the city’s 92nd annual Spring Pilgrimages. The Natchez Garden Club Pilgrimage takes place March 8 – April 29, while the Pilgrimage Garden Club Pilgrimage is March 9 – April 9.
“Springtime adds an extra touch of excitement to Natchez, bringing beautiful blooms and beloved events,” says Lynsey Gilbert, interim director at Visit Natchez. “The Spring Pilgrimages offer a truly distinctive opportunity for visitors to witness the rich tapestry of the town’s history as it comes to life.”
During the Spring Pilgrimages, guests have exclusive access to tour private residences that are rarely open to the public, alongside homes that are open year-round. Additionally, this season, the annual Natchez Powwow will return March 23-24 to celebrate the area’s rich Native American heritage, featuring traditional Native American dancing, singing and fun.

Natchez Garden Club Spring Pilgrimage, March 8 – April 28
Visitors may tour 14 unique and beautiful historic Natchez Garden Club homes from the late 1700s to the mid-1800s, including the iconic Linden, Monmouth Mansion, Choctaw Hall, Sunnyside and more. Some homes are large and grand, while others are small and exquisite, though all have fascinating stories to tell. Pilgrimage Garden Club’s Spring Pilgrimage, March 9 – April 9
In a tradition dating back to 1932, Natchez opens the doors to 21 of its exquisite historic homes, including Longwood Mansion, Stanton Hall, Concord Quarters and more, to welcome travelers from across the world. The celebrations include tours led by costumed hosts in 19th-century character, theater performances, unique presentations and live music, all focused on the city’s unique historic homes. Natchez Powwow, March 23 – 24
One of Natchez’s favorite cultural events, the Natchez Powwow, will return this spring. This two-day festival features food, craft and farmer’s market vendors, intertribal dancing, singing and fellowship. Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and admission is free.
