Natchez, MS – In celebration of the recent reopening of Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park Lake, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) and Natchez Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Natchez Alderman Benjamin Davis (Ward 5), are hosting a special community event, “Fishing With Fathers and Friends,” on Saturday, June 15.
The event, which runs from 8:00 a.m. to noon, is designed to bring together children and their parents for a fun-filled morning of fishing and bonding. Taking place at the beautifully renovated Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park, located at 230B Wickcliff Road, Natchez, MS 39120, this event is free and open to the public.
Natchez Parks and Recreation is ensuring that no child misses out on this opportunity. For children without a fishing buddy, the department will provide one, along with fishing poles and bait. Free transportation is offered by Natchez Transit. people who wish to take advantage of the free transportation should meet at the National Guard Armory in Liberty Park, with the bus departing at 7:30 a.m. sharp. Lunch will also be provided to all who attend.
