The Citizens of Wilkinson County, MS teamed up with the Town of Woodville to send much needed items to Middle Georgia, GA, Helene Victims. Thanks to Rev. Stanley Scriber along with Chief Fred Allen, Chief of Woodville, MS who made the arrangements with Abbeville and a drop site was added to Sumter County, GA. It was learned the threat for rain and a stronger Hurricane than expected upon landfall has doubled the need. According to ABC’s national news, Helene has already made landfall in Florida as of today, October 8, 2024, with many lives already lost. Your prayers, donations, and time have been a blessing. And we still have an opportunity to bless others in the next storm to hit the Florida coast.
Please drop off donations at the Woodville Police Department starting this Thursday, October 10 through Thursday, October 17, 2024. All is appreciated but is completely fine if as much is not collected. Inside are some items needed, but of course they need much more.
