Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Natchez Campus is offering two exciting enrichment courses this spring: Beginner Pickleball and Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR. Both courses are designed to provide participants with valuable skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Beginner Pickleball: Learn the Nation’s Fastest-Growing Sport
Have you ever wanted to try pickleball, the sport that’s sweeping the nation? Whether you’re new to the game or looking to refine your skills, this course is the perfect introduction. Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, played on a smaller court with solid paddles and a perforated plastic ball. Accessible to players of all ages and abilities, the game’s quick learning curve makes it enjoyable for everyone.
Led by experienced instructor Leigh Anne Mason, this course will cover the basics of pickleball, including:
- Rules of the game
- Serving techniques
- Executing trick shots
- And much more!
Participants are welcome to bring their own paddles, or they can use equipment provided during the class. The fee for the course is $55.
Class Schedule:
- Session 1: Tuesdays, February 4, 11, 18, 25, and March 4
- Session 2: Tuesdays, March 18, 25, and April 1, 8, and 15
- Time: 6:15 – 7:15 p.m.

Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR: Gain Life-Saving Skills
For those interested in learning essential life-saving techniques, the Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR course offers hands-on training in high-quality CPR for cardiac arrest victims. Participants will learn proper chest compressions, ventilations, and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Upon completion, participants will earn CPR certification from the American Heart Association, a nationally recognized credential.
This course is led by Courtney Nichols and has a fee of $70.

- Dates: Fridays, February 28, March 28, and April 25
- Time: 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.
