The Mississippi Bankers Association (MBA) proudly welcomed its new board members during a ceremony held this past Saturday. The new leadership team for the 2025 term includes an accomplished group of banking professionals who will help guide the MBA through the year ahead.
Robbie Barnes has been named Chairman of the Board, while Michael Dudley will serve as Vice Chairman. John Hairston takes on the role of Treasurer. In addition to these executive appointments, the MBA also announced several newly elected board members: Kent Mortimer, John Howie, John Rankin, and Lauren Middleton.
The MBA extended heartfelt thanks to both the incoming and outgoing board members for their service, time, and continued dedication to the banking community in Mississippi. Further details on the board’s strategic plans and initiatives for 2025 are expected to be released in the near future.
Adding to the celebratory tone, United Mississippi Bank (UMB) issued a special congratulatory message recognizing the election of their Chief Financial Officer, Lauren Middleton, to the MBA Board of Directors.
“Congratulations to UMB CFO Lauren Middleton on her recent election to the Mississippi Banker’s Association Board of Directors. We congratulate all the newly elected directors,” the bank stated.
This appointment reflects Middleton’s ongoing leadership and commitment to the financial sector, and marks a proud moment for both her and the UMB team.
The Mississippi Bankers Association looks forward to a productive year under the guidance of its new board and continues its mission to support and advocate for banks and bankers across the state.
