VIDALIA, LA / NATCHEZ, MS — Tuesday, May 27, 2025 — A region-wide search is underway in the Miss-Lou area after a possible sighting of an escaped inmate was reported Tuesday morning.
At approximately 9:00 AM, the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a concerned citizen who believed they had seen Antoine Massey, an inmate who escaped from the Orleans Parish jail on May 16th. The caller reported that an individual matching Massey’s description was traveling toward Natchez, Mississippi.
The call was promptly transferred to Adams County, Mississippi’s E-911 center, triggering a coordinated law enforcement response across state lines.
Multi-Agency Search Underway
The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Adams County Sheriff’s Office, and the Louisiana State Police are currently working in tandem to locate and apprehend Massey. Authorities are actively searching areas across both Louisiana and Mississippi, focusing on the greater Miss-Lou region.
Public Urged to Stay Alert
Law enforcement officials have classified Antoine Massey as “extremely dangerous” and are urging residents to remain vigilant. Anyone who believes they have seen Massey or who has any information on his whereabouts should take no direct action and immediately contact the proper authorities.
