VIDALIA, LA — LifeShare Blood Center and Concordia Bank & Trust are teaming up to make a life-saving impact this summer with a Summer Lifesaver Blood Drive, scheduled for Friday, June 27 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The LifeShare Blood Mobile will be stationed at the Concordia Bank & Trust Vidalia location to collect much-needed donations during one of the most critical times of the year.
Why Summer Donations Are Crucial
Every year, blood donations decrease by around 20% during the summer months, just as the demand for blood products tends to rise due to increased accidents and medical procedures. This seasonal drop puts added pressure on hospitals and patients relying on transfusions for survival.
