The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, working in coordination with the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, has arrested a suspect following the reported kidnapping of Elizabeth Green.
Authorities identified the suspect as Victor Alfonso Xol Mez, who was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Clayton, Louisiana. The arrest followed a joint investigation between the two agencies, which led to the safe recovery of Elizabeth Green and the apprehension of the suspect.
Sheriff Travis Patten of Adams County expressed gratitude for the teamwork that made the rescue possible.
“We are extremely thankful for the quick coordination between our office and the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office,” Patten said. “Their swift response and cooperation were key in ensuring the safe return of Elizabeth Green and the arrest of the suspect.”
Concordia Parish Sheriff David Hedrick echoed the sentiment, highlighting the importance of interagency cooperation.
“When law enforcement agencies work together and share information, the results speak for themselves,” Hedrick said. “I am proud of the exceptional collaboration between our departments.”
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Victor Alfonso Xol Mez has been charged with kidnapping. The investigation remains active, and officials say additional details will be released as the case progresses.
