Community Invited to Help Restore Watkins Street Cemetery

Residents are encouraged to come together for Watkins Street Cemetery Beautification Day on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers will assist with cleanup efforts, including trimming, pruning small bushes, and removing fallen limbs and debris. Organizers are calling on local groups such as sororities, fraternities, churches, school classes, and community members to lend a hand. The event aims to preserve and improve the cemetery through collective community service. In case of rain, the alternate date is April 18.
