Closures for Tues., March 22
Adams County Christian School has CANCELLED all classes and activities.
Cathedral Schools will have VIRTUAL CLASSES ONLY. Athletic activities and practices are cancelled.
Natchez Adams County School District’s spring intercession has been CANCELLED for Tuesday. They will have an adjusted schedule for the rest of the week: 8:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Copiah-Lincoln Community College has CLOSED all campus for Tuesday.
Franklin County Schools have CANCELLED classes.
Holy Family Early Learning Center will be CLOSED.
Hansel & Gretel Daycare will be CLOSED.
First Presbyterian Day School will be CLOSED.
Simpson County School District all grade level classes K-12 are closed Tuesday March 22, 2022
All City of Natchez and Adams County offices will remain CLOSED. The BOA meeting scheduled for 6pm will take place, weather permitting.

Adams County (along with much of the surrounding area) is under a Tornado watch until 7:00 p.m.
The Natchez SAFE ROOM will open at 8:00 a.m. or earlier in the event of a tornado watch
Please bring food, drinks, medication, and additional essential items.
All pets are welcome, but they MUST be in a kennel.

The Concordia Parish OHSEP will have sandbags available for Concordia Parish residents starting today
Monday 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Location: Concordia Parish Corrections on Highway 15
Limit: 10 bags per household
Personnel will be on site to assist the elderly and handicapped with the loading of sandbags

According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Adams County and Concordia Parish are at a moderate risk for severe storms where tornadoes are likely, as are damaging wind gusts as high as 70 miles per hour and golf ball size hail.
