Natchez City offices and Adams Co. offices will close at Noon today.
Natchez-Adams School District and Concordia Parish Schools have cancelled classes for today.
Adams County Christian School will dismiss early today, at 11AM for Pre-K & Kindergarten, at 11:15AM for 1st- 6th grades, and 11:30AM for 7th – 12th grades.
Cathedral Catholic School will dismiss at 11:30AM.
ALL Co-Lin Campuses will close at 11:30AM.
Holy Family will close at 11:30AM.
Hansel & Gretel will close at 11:30AM.
First Presbyterian Playschool is closed today.

Due to severe weather the Adams County Safe Room will be open March 30, at 8:00am. Please bring food, drinks, medication, a blanket, and any essential items. Small pets are welcome, but they must be in a kennel. The Adams County Safe Room address is 323 Liberty Road.

THIS EVENING…
* WHAT…South winds sustained 25 to 35 mph with widespread gusts to 55 mph expected. Isolated gusts up to 60mph. These winds will occur before the arrival of thunderstorms.
* WHERE…Portions of northeast Louisiana, central and south Mississippi and southeast Arkansas
* WHEN…From 8 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. Winds of this magnitude can bring down trees and power lines causing serious injury and property damage. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive. Winds this strong will make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Secure outdoor objects.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Mississippi River At Natchez.
* WHEN…Until late Thursday night.
* IMPACTS…At 48.0 feet, Carthage Point Road becomes impassable.
