The WAPT Returns To Natchez With A New Title Sponsor In Merit Health Natchez
Dallas, TX – The Women’s All Pro Tour, the official qualifying tour for the LPGA’s Epson Tour, will be heading to
Natchez, Mississippi for the third time for the Merit Health Natchez Classic. The 4 day tournament will feature close
to100 of the best LPGA hopefuls competing at the beautiful Beau Pre Country Club.

The Merit Health Natchez Classic will be the ninth stop in the PXG Race To Stage II and the first time the
tournament will have a title sponsor with Merit Health Natchez coming on board. A pivotal tournament for the ladies
towards the top of the points list as they will look to keep their name up top, or move into the top-5.

Sue Stedman, Moderator, Board of Trustees. “Events such as the Merit Health Natchez Classic are great
opportunities to bring awareness of the beauty and hospitality of our city, as well as play on one of the most
recognized golf courses in our State. I am proud of Merit Health Natchez for its part in bringing this tournament to
Natchez.”
The Merit Health Natchez Classic is scheduled for June 14-17, 2022. The week will include a Pro-Am, shoot-out,
parties and a 72-hole championship finishing on Friday, June 17th. The tournament purse is expected to be $55,000
with the tournament champion taking home $10,000. In addition, as the official qualifying tour of the LPGA’s Epson
Tour the tournament winner and runner-up will each receive an exemption into the Twin Bridges Championship.
“Natchez is a very unique event. Outside of golf, Natchez is a charming town with a ton of history. The pros have lots
to see and do while in the area,” said WAPT president Gary DeSerrano. “This is an exciting time in women’s golf and
we are also thrilled to share the excitement with Merit Health Natchez, our new title sponsor.”
