The Adams County Sheriff’s Office hosted Mississippi Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell on Wednesday as part of his “82 Counties in 82 Days” statewide tour.
Commissioner Tindell met with local law enforcement leaders and community partners to hear concerns, share ideas, and discuss strategies to strengthen public safety. The Sheriff’s Office highlighted his leadership approach, noting that Tindell is the first Public Safety Commissioner to provide his personal cell phone number to officers across the state, underscoring his accessibility and commitment to direct communication.
Local officials praised his decision to visit Adams County in person, meeting face-to-face with those serving on the front lines. Sheriff Travis Patten said the visit demonstrated the commissioner’s dedication to ensuring local voices are heard at the state level.
“We sincerely appreciate Commissioner Tindell’s willingness to take the time to hear directly from those who dedicate their lives to protecting others,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “His commitment to pushing forward meaningful initiatives with state legislators to improve law enforcement resources and public safety in our communities is greatly valued.”
