The First Monday Of The Year Is The Longest Monday Of The Year
We’re all officially back in school or back at the office. The holidays are over, the decorations are packed away, and to be honest, there isn’t a whole lot of fun stuff going on in these early days of January. You probably don’t have a work holiday coming up, unless you’re going somewhere warm, January isn’t a big month for vacations either. Doesn’t help that the New Orleans Saints rolled over and played dead yesterday in the Wild Card playoff game. We only have one more football game to look forward to until August, and that happens one week from tonight with LSU facing Clemson for the College Football Championship.
So, back into the stressful morass we call “work” because those holiday bills aren’t gonna pay for themselves. Now, a new study out of Japan has a solution for stressful days at work. Kind of. Researchers at the University of Hyogo in Awaji, Japan had a theory: they thought that simply putting a small plant on office workers’ desks might improve their well-being and reduce their stress levels.
Their study worked, they say. You just need a plant on your desk!
