Our Hurricane Helene supply drive for the town of Lansing, NC was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of our listeners in the Miss-Lou. Y’all always come through for us and show why we are considered one of the most giving communities in the country!
We were able to receive, load up and deliver three trailers, the equivalent of an 18-wheeler, jam packed full of needed items for our friends in NC and almost $10,000 in cash. All of this went to GLAD – Greater Lansing Area Development a non-profit organization in Lansing. They will use the cash to purchase desperately needed construction supplies, which are in high demand right now, to finish out the businesses that flooded. If you would like to continue contributing, we are still accepting cash or check donations through the Chamber or via Venmo @natchezchamber.
We want to thank our community partners, the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce-Lyn Jenkins, The Democrat and Mayor Dan Gibson with the City of Natchez. We want to especially thank our team at Listen Up Y’all Media, Josh Wells, Caleb Isbell, Kolby Godfrey, Holly Bearden, Bender, Will Sterrett, Karen Emerick, John Garrett, and “Country Boy” Mark Porter. They all rocked on air, on social and provided on the ground muscle!
