Tonight, at the Natchez-Adams County Annual Chamber Gala on November 12, 2024, community leaders, local businesses, and residents gathered for an evening of celebration and recognition. This year’s event, themed “It’s A Jungle Out There!,” showcased a festive and casual atmosphere where the voluntary efforts of those who tirelessly support Natchez and Adams County were honored.
The distinguished Natchezian Woman of the Year award went to Debbie Hudson-Germany, while Johnny Byrne of Byrne Insurance Agency was named Natchezian Man of the Year. Both were recognized for their dedication and contributions to the community’s growth and wellbeing. In the business categories, Smoots Grocery received the Small Business of the Year award, and J.E Hicks Distributing Company (Hicks-Chicks) was honored as Large Business of the Year for their success and positive impact on the local economy.
The gala also marked a changing of the guard within the Chamber’s leadership, with Tuwanna Williams stepping down as Outgoing Chairwoman and Kim Stephens assuming the role of Incoming Chairwoman.
