Local officials are urging Natchez–Adams County residents to remain at home unless absolutely necessary as hazardous conditions persist following recent severe weather.
Authorities report ongoing issues with falling limbs, downed trees, and power lines as temperatures continue to drop. Officials warn that these conditions pose a serious risk to anyone traveling, particularly in areas with low-hanging or downed power lines.
“If it is not an emergency, we strongly encourage you to remain at home,” officials stated. “Limbs and trees are still falling, creating hazardous conditions. We do not want to see anyone injured by falling limbs or debris.”
Emergency responders and utility crews continue working throughout the county, and residents are asked to give them space to operate safely and efficiently.
