Ever since the beginning of our Natchez Renewal, job creation – and connecting people to job opportunities, has been our top priority.
It’s a win – win. It opens the door of opportunity to our citizens while helping area employers build a qualified workforce.
This is why the City of Natchez is once again proud to partner with the Mississippi Department of Employment Security and the Governor’s Job Fair Network of Mississippi to host the 2026 Miss-Lou Job Fair, coming once again to the Natchez Convention Center on Thursday, September 24.
For several years, this partnership has provided an outstanding opportunity to bring employers and job seekers together under one roof. The results speak for themselves. Just last year, at the Miss-Lou Job Fair, 35 businesses participated, welcoming 340 job seekers from across the Miss-Lou. By the end of the day, 51 job offers had been made on the spot, with employers projecting 205 total hires as a result of the connections made that day. Those numbers represent more than statistics. They represent families finding financial stability, businesses filling critical positions, and our local economy growing stronger together.
This year, we’re looking to make the event even bigger and more successful, and we need our employers to be a part of it.
The 2026 Miss-Lou Job Fair will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Natchez Convention Center, 211 Main Street in Natchez. Whether you’re looking to hire one employee or an entire team, this event provides direct access to motivated job applicants who are ready to work.
Employer registration is $125, which includes one table, two chairs, lunches for two representatives, and listings of your available positions on the event website and in the official job fair brochure. The registration deadline is September 11, so I encourage businesses not to wait. Reserve your space now and become part of an event that has consistently delivered results for employers across our region.
To our business community, I ask you to consider what one great employee can mean to your organization. This job fair gives you the opportunity to meet dozens, even hundreds, of potential candidates in just a few hours. It’s an investment in your business and in the future of Natchez.
Working together, we can continue connecting people with opportunity, strengthening our businesses, and building an even brighter future for Natchez and for our region. I look forward to seeing a record number of employers and job seekers at this year’s event and celebrating even greater success stories in the months ahead.
Because Natchez Deserves More!
