An Adams County inmate is accused of trying to smuggle cocaine into the jail. Michael Thomas was being held in another facility and when he was processed back into the Adams County Jail, guards found about 70 grams of cocaine inside his personal belongings. Thomas is charged with Trafficking Schedule II Drug and Introduction of Contraband Into a Penal Facility. He was already awaiting trial for the murder of Johnny Mason. The bust comes less than a week after jailers found 9 grams of marijuana in a package intended for an inmate. It was intercepted and Jasmine Sprouls is now charged in that case.
