A teenager died after an incident believed to be an accidental shooting in Vidalia, according to local authorities. Officers responded to a shooting Tuesday and found a 15-year-old who had been wounded. The teenager was airlifted for medical treatment but died that night. A 14-year-old was detained at the time.
After an initial investigation, investigators said the two had been playing with a loaded gun when it went off, striking the 15-year-old. The investigation remains active.

It also said Louisiana residents appeared comfortable talking with those who disagree politically.
