The Natchez Community Stewpot is calling on the community to help make Thanksgiving special for neighbors in need by donating turkeys for its upcoming holiday meal.
The organization is asking residents and businesses to contribute turkeys as soon as possible to allow enough time for preparation ahead of Thanksgiving.
Donations can be dropped off at the Natchez Stewpot, located at 69 East Franklin Street in Natchez, Monday through Saturday, between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
For those looking to lend an extra helping hand, the Stewpot is encouraging donors to cook their turkeys before delivering them. Donors can remove the bones and place the cooked meat in Ziploc freezer bags, allowing the organization to freeze the meat until it is time to prepare its Thanksgiving feast.
The Natchez Stewpot provides meals to community members facing hunger, and donations from local residents help support its mission of feeding those in need.
Every turkey donated will help the organization provide a special Thanksgiving meal to individuals and families who might otherwise go without.
For more information about donating, contact Beverly Adams, Director of the Natchez Stewpot, at 601-442-9413.
The Stewpot thanks the community for its continued generosity and support in helping make Thanksgiving a little brighter for its neighbors.
